Vision and Values
We will plant New Creation Church in the Point Loma/Ocean Beach Neighborhood. The mission of New Creation Church is, "Seeking His Presence, Renewing the City". This means that we desire to center our church around the presence of God, inviting people into real experience and llife in the Lord Jesus Christ, leading to renewal in their lives.We have four core values that reflect what New Creation Church will look like:

4. Gospel CommunityLike the ancient city of Athens, San Diego is a global city marked my secularism, mysticism and spiritualism, and foreign religions. While deeply spiritual, it is hostile to Christianity, being 92% unreached. In addition, it is one of the most diverse cities in the US, with over 25% of residents being born outside of the US. There is a spirtual crisis, with many feeling disconnected and without hope. We desire to bring that hope.
I am a church planting resident with the Village Church in Flower Mound, Texas. Originally from Monterey, California, the Lord has set both mine and my families eyes on the Global City of San Diego. With a background in international Church Planting, it is my heart and mission to preach Christ and church plant among the unreached. For the next year, I will be in the Church Planting Residency with the Village Church to prepare for this calling the Lord has placed in my heart. I am married to Marisa, and together we have a daughter, Makaiah. We met when we were both living Turkey and joined our lives together to serve Christ and take our part in fulfilling the Great commission. After church planting in Turkey for several years, we unexpectedly were displaced, and had to return to the states. In the aftermath of this the Lord began to place on my heart a burden for my home state of California.

OUR SENDING CHURCHES
I am a Church Planting Resident at the Village Church, where I am being trained, assesed, and sent out to plant New Creation Church. I am in the 8th Interation of the Residency, and God willing will be commissioned by the Elders and the Church this November.
Our sending church is King's Church in Lewisville, Texas, where Josh Yen is the senior pastor. Josh was trained and commissioned by the VIllage Church as well. King's Church is also affiliated with the Acts29 Network. Alongside the Church Planting Residency with TVC, I am also a pastoral resident at King's and will be ordained and sent as a Lead Pastor/Elder when at the conclusion of the residency.
